For over a decade, CLASP has provided a wide range of support to India’s Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), and others, to strengthen and accelerate India’s appliance energy efficiency policies. CLASP:

  • Provides strategic advice to focus resources on high-impact, energy using products
  • Conducts technical and market analyses to support the development of new policies and supporting measures
  • Evaluates individual policies and conducts large-scale program evaluations
  • Conducts training, capacity building, and program support to ensure effective policy implementation
  • Facilitates India’s participation in international partnerships, like the SEAD Initiative .

Between 2008 and 2012, CLASP supported BEE to implement policies that will achieve over 40 TWh of annual energy savings in 2020.
