United States

CLASP supports best practice policy implementation in the United States by:

  • Promoting emerging technologies that significantly reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
  • Identifying, distilling, and sharing international best practices with US stakeholders for maximum policy impacts
  • Providing targeted and objective data and analysis to US decision makers – accelerating policymaking processes and maximizing energy savings from policies under development

CLASP-assisted policies implemented in the US between 2008 and 2012 will save 1.4 TWh of energy in 2020, approximately equal to the annual GHG emissions from 205,785 passenger vehicles.
