Director of Research

CLASP is seeking a Director of Research who will bring thought leadership to the appliance sector and will lead the design and management of a variety of research projects to accelerate our transition to a more sustainable world. Working cross-programmatically, the Director of Research will manage research efforts on a range of issues related to appliance energy efficiency for on, off, and weak grid policy and market contexts.

Contracts Specialist

CLASP seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to provide service-oriented support to program staff on contracting and due diligence. This person will have experience managing contracts and deadlines; they will be skilled at prioritizing various tasks with daily, weekly, or monthly timelines while simultaneously handling one-time short term or unexpected requests. The candidate must be willing to learn software, systems, and processes and to take the initiative to understand, create, and refine best practices.

Communications Associate, Energy Efficiency Policy

CLASP is seeking creative, mature, poised, and detail-oriented professionals to support the communications efforts of our Policy & Analysis Team, helping advance energy efficiency policy worldwide. Successful candidates will have the skills to convey information through writing, graphics, and visual storytelling, and know how to turn complex ideas into impactful and concise narratives.

Associate, Policy & Analysis

CLASP seeks highly motivated candidates to help us design and execute our global portfolio of product energy efficiency programs and projects. The Associate will join the Policy & Analysis team, which provides world-class technical and policy advisory services on product energy efficiency standards and labeling programs to government and other key stakeholders around the world.

Communications Associate – Nairobi, Kenya

CLASP is seeking a creative, poised, and detail-oriented professional to support communications efforts at CLASP’s Nairobi office. The Associate will turn complex ideas into engaging stories, work closely with both the existing communications team in Washington D.C. and Kenyan staff to prepare and communicate CLASP’s energy access work in Africa to relevant funders and stakeholders, and be committed to the ideals of CLASP.

Associate, Policy and Analysis – Nairobi, Kenya

CLASP seeks a highly motivated professional to be part of an integrated multinational team that is supporting national level appliance efficiency policy implementation across the globe. They provide deep technical assistance and strategic guidance to decision makers on how to effectively prioritize resources and activities to drive energy savings and promote energy access from the appliance sector.

Coordinator, Clean Energy Access – Nairobi, Kenya

CLASP is seeking an experienced and motivated professional with an interest and/or background in energy access, international development, policy, and/or engineering to help us execute our portfolio of clean energy access initiatives. The key task for this new position is to help CLASP launch a new awards program that seeks to spur innovation in solar electronic waste.

Senior Communications Associate

CLASP is seeking a talented communications professional who is ready to take their experience to the next level with our growing team. The candidate will demonstrate dedication to CLASP’s mission and theory of change and understand how an impactful communications portfolio can further that mission. They’ll manage a pipeline of stories, projects and campaigns to show the full and evolving picture of CLASP’s work through our digital platforms, outreach, and donor communications.

Program Manager – Jakarta, Indonesia

CLASP seeks a Program Manager to lead a new program aimed at developing the market for efficient products in Indonesia with the ultimate goal to deliver significant energy savings and carbon emissions reductions. The ideal candidate will have an extraordinary capacity for program development, execution and administration, excellent relationships with policymakers and other key stakeholders, expertise on the Indonesian market and policy dynamics, and world class collaboration and communication skills.

Internship

CLASP works on projects ranging from advancing the off-grid solar technologies that bring power to energy-impoverished people, to cutting the catastrophic climate impacts of commonly used appliances. During your internship, you will be part of an integrated multi-national team that is transforming global markets. You will likely contribute on several projects, gaining exposure to a range of issues and details. The exact assignment(s) will depend both on our needs and on your particular skills, expertise and interest.
