This study examines the recent comparative testing undertaken in Australia to a range of international test methods including ISO, AS/NZS and US to help Australia develop new minimum energy performance standard (MEPS) levels equivalent to US 2001 levels. It also provides insights into the differences of the major test methods and makes a range of recommendations for improvements to refrigerator test methods.
