The Super-efficient Equipment and Appliance Deployment (SEAD) Initiative of the Clean Energy Ministerial had a busy and impactful year in 2013.

SEAD recognized the world’s most efficient computer monitors and launched the new award competition for electric motors; supported municipalities’ transition to energy efficient street lighting; and facilitated the regional development of S&L in the West African region.

And, through close collaboration with expert partners, SEAD finalized several product and policy analyses – covering topics from improved energy efficiency in ceiling fans to monitoring and evaluating green public procurement programs.

These analyses are informed by the needs of SEAD member governments and can serve S&L policymakers and practitioners around the world.
