Recently, CLASP was featured in a Chronicle of Philanthropy article that discusses the relationship between philanthropy and non-profits — the complexities, challenges, and the potential. In this article Hal Harvey, of Energy Innovation, and Paul Brest, formerly of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, propose a more transparent process that they call “strategic philanthropy,” based on three core practices: listen, synthesize, and get feedback.
